On July 15, 2024, the Utah Insurance Bulletin released Bulletin 2024-8, which provides guidance regarding the amended federal rules issued on March 28, 2024, that addressed short-term limited duration insurance and fixed indemnity excepted benefits coverage.
The Bulletin is generally a summary of the amended federal rules but does include guidance regarding state notice requirements in addition to those in the amended federal rules.
While this bulletin is directed to insurers, employers should be aware of its contents.
